I just bought a new home and will be constructing my first observatory soon. The area has VERY dark skies, at least for the time being. This is a shot taken from the location where the observatory will be built, looking toward the new home.
I know, it needs a yard! :)
I will probably need to put the yard in before I can start the observatory. My wife is funny that way.... she seems to think that yards are more important than observatories. Go figure!
Here is a shot looking to the south. You gotta love that low southern horizon.
