Description

The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is a beautiful sight.... it is a bubble blown by solar winds, located approximately 11,000 light years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.  The Bubble is located very near a nice open cluster, M52, which is closer to the Earth at a distance of only 5,000 light years.  This image also shows an extremely small planetary nebula cataloged as PLN 112-0.5, which is only 12 arc-seconds in diameter and appears as little more than a red star in the lower right-central portion of the frame.
